A Note from the Co-Founder

We are excited about this month - September.  In September 2024, CreativesAtWork turns 12th. As the team behind CreativesAtWork and Freelancer Nation, I want to personally share a bit about why we started this community and why I believe Freelancer Nation can be a transformative part of your freelance journey.

Three years ago, in the midst of a global pandemic, we set out to create a space where freelancers can connect authentically—beyond the side hustle and feeling lost about our freelancing career. Our vision was simple: to build a community rooted in deeper connections, clarity of purpose, and scaling up opportunities for anyone who want to freelance as a career.

Today, we have a thriving network of more than 1,500 curated freelancers whom we are working with on notable projects such as the National School Games, and “We are marching on” documentary series on Paralympics. We’ve learned that real growth doesn’t happen overnight; it takes time, trust, and a curated circle of like-minded people who understand your journey.

CreativesAtWork is the creative agency that brings in project opportunities, and Freelancer Nation is its extended arm, dedicated to build and empower our freelancer community.

Freelancer Nation purposes to help you move the needle in your life, whether that means accelerating your freelancing career, finding more balance, or launching a passion project. We believe together with you in taking control of your work and growth, and building a future where your freelancing career can become a sustainable thriving business.

Celebrate Our Nation 'with AI'

Our mission has always been to empower creative professionals like you, helping to transform ideas into impactful realities. CreativesAtWork as Singapore's leading freelance creative agency, we're excited to share our latest news, opportunities, and resources designed to elevate your creative journey. 

With all the hypes about AI, we decided to make it our ‘friend'. Hence this National Day we celebrated by creating an AI video that bring Singapore's first freelancers in the 1930s back to life. Their resilience, independence, and determination are the foundation of our nation's spirit and we hope to revitalized the memories of them. Catch it via our Social Media post.

Leveling up our Freelancers with AI

We have started a masterclass series about Empowering Your Creativity through Harnessing Human-AI Synergy in July 2024. Led by Tan Siok Siok, author of 'AI for Humanity' book. The first part was a masterclass sharing on Human-AI Symbiotic Intelligence about how you can integrate AI into your workflow and interact with it to help elevate your creative potential.  Check out our Social Media post on it.

This month, we will start the second part by journeying our participants through a 30-Days Challenge of hands-on experiencing the Human-AI symbiosis exploration.

Leveling up our Freelancers with Apprenticeship program

Freelancer Nation will be commencing an apprenticeship program for Creative Producers starting from Nov 2024 to Mar 2025. Under this program, participants will be provided with 4 weeks of training and being engaged on 3 - 5 months of real projects for hands-on experience. If you are interested in expanding your expertise areas into becoming a creative producer to manage creative projects, please register your interest for us to update you with more details. 

CoCreateSG: Fostering Inclusivity & Creativity through AI

Our CoCreateSG workshop series is underway. This initiative brings together creative freelancers to co-create meaningful and impactful designs and videos leveraging on AI. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming events and pop-up exhibition where the works will be showcased!

Following our docuseries on "Road to Tokyo' in 2020, we are incredibly proud to be able to once again work on "We Are Marching On" —a docuseries that follows Singapore’s para-athletes on their inspiring journey to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This project embodies why we do what we do—showcasing powerful stories that resonate with the heart of our nation. To celebrate our 12th year anniversary, CreativesAtWork releases our own limited-edition T-shirts featuring the 10 freelancer trait characters created for our 10th year anniversary.
