CreativesAtWork had the honour to produce the series of content for our Paralympians in Paris 2024. Our efforts in adapting to onsite on-the-fly circumstances resulted in a successful series, one that expressed the challenges and the imperfect situations we faced as the production crew.

Now, after living through the challenges, triumphs, and lessons of producing the Paralympics, we want to share everything we have learnt. Join us for the session!

When we started this project, we went with an open perspective —armed with only a few tips from others and a lot of uncertainty. Now, after living through the challenges, triumphs, and lessons of producing the Paralympics, we want to share everything we’ve learned. If you ever get the chance to take on something like this, we hope you won’t have to learn the hard way like we did.

What We’ll Share:

Pre-production:

• ⁠How we navigated funding and the process of securing permits

• ⁠⁠The details of NS deferments, booking flights, accommodation, and getting the amount of equipment into Paris

• How we worked with our client to shape the final concept

• ⁠⁠Planning the right manpower for an event of this scale, knowing each person had a crucial role

Production:

• The daily grind of managing transportation across the city and staying on top of security clearances

• How we earned access to the athletes and positioned our cameras for the best shots

• Juggling poor WIFI, nightly edits, and keeping up with athletes at multiple locations, especially those making it to the finals

Post-production:

• How our team handled edits, constant client feedback, and lightning-fast turnarounds

• ⁠The on-the-spot adjustments we made to ensure everything was delivered on time, without compromising quality

We took on this inspiring project without a clear map, but now we have journeyed through it, we’re excited to share our experiences with you.
