CREATIVESATWORK TURNS 13!!

This year marked 13 years for CreativesAtWork — a journey built on the belief that freelancers deserve not just opportunities, but also community, collaboration, and a platform to thrive. From our early days connecting creative talents with projects, to becoming a trusted partner in growing the freelance economy, we’ve grown alongside the industry through its ups and downs.

Over the years, we continue to create and venture into new frontiers - committing to deliver more value to our clients and empowering our freelancers to progress with us to adapt and thrive in this new era of change and creativity.

“WE CAN SAVE THE WORLD” IS NOW IN THEATRES

Bringing a film to life from dream to screen is indeed no small feat. It literally takes a village to make this local production “WE CAN SAVE THE WORLD!!!” happen. CreativesAtWork is incredibly proud to be supporting homegrown filmmakers Cheng Chai Hong, Lee Yi Jia and Tan Jia Min in their first feature film from the early days of investor sourcing and crowd funding to advisory throughout their journey of independent film making.

The sci-fi comedy manage to make its way to New York for its world premiere at the 24th New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) which is North America’s leading showcase of Asian cinema. It was one of 10 films curated in the Southeast Asian Frontiers section to be featured in July. Following it’s premiere in New York, it has landed in our theatres at the Golden Village, EagleWings Cinematics and Shaw Theatres since 18 September and still on-going.

CONGRATS TO LOCAL FILMMAKER DERRICK LUI

We are thrilled to share the success of yet another of our freelancer - local filmmaker Derrick Lui who had his racing film Oversteer nabbed two awards, best feature film and best director, at this year’s Vienna Independent Film Festival.

Inspired by a true story, Oversteer was written and directed by Derrick. The film has also bagged a series of accolades including a win at the Bangkok Movie Awards and an honorable mention at France’s Red Movie Awards.

We are happy to have hosted the film’s press conference during its release in Singapore and witnessed Derrick’s incredible journey of pushing through the odds as an independent filmmaker. Though the journey is tough, the passion is real. Derrick had poured out his savings and 10 years of his life in making this Singapore’s very first car-racing film. Heartiest Congratulations to Derrick on this wonderful achievement.
